When John Sumner (William Christopher), an ambitious Los Angeles police officer, gets promoted to detective, he's assigned to a case that turns his life upside down. His first case as a rookie detective is to protect a sexy stripper, Tina Tutor (J. Cynthia Brooks), who witnessed the fatal stabbing of her boss and good friend, Louie. Earlier that evening, Bobby Belfast (Collin Bernsen) paid for a private dance by Tina just hours before he killed Louie in cold blood. John and his partner, Robert (Jim Stevens), are assigned to protect Tina 24 hours a day until Bobby Belfast is found and the case goes to trial. When John endures his late night duties, his fiancee, Rachael (Kim Larvey) wants him off the case. He assures her that once this case is closed, they'll run away and get married. Things get too close for comfort when Robert shows up at Tina's for his shift and discovers that she and John have spent an intimate night together. When Rachael gets wind of this information, she ends things with John. One evening, Tina convinces John to take her to the club to practice with the girls. Since it has been closed until the case goes to trial, he agrees to escort her. Hiding in the dressing room, Belfast threatens Tina that he'll kill her unless she and the girls give him one last show - next week - in the club with John in the audience. It's the night of the show, the lights are up and Belfast and his thugs are in the audience. When Tina starts to dance, Belfast demands that the other girls attend. As a twist of fate, it's Rachael who saves this charade and joins Tina in a strip tease duet.
