Description
The FeverWatch non-contact digital infrared thermometer provides a simple, fast, and accurate way for initial temperature or fever readings by taking the surface temperature of areas on the face such as the forehead or tear ducts. It obtains the body temperature reading within 0.3 degrees of accuracy in less than 1 second through a single click.
This infrared thermometer features an intuitive guidance system to secure positioning to ensure accurate readings. Temperatures (Fahrenheit or Celsius) are displayed on a large LCD screen (with a backlight included) for easier reading even in total darkness. An adjustable audio alarm will alert you if the temperature is too high, and includes a mute feature that is suitable when discretion is needed, e.g. undisturbed patients or when the device is used primarily for children or as a baby thermometer.
Due to the Feverwatch being a non-contact thermometer, there is no contamination risk and is able to scan multiple individuals without having to disinfect the device. FeverWatch was designed specifically for forehead temperature detection from a 1"-4" (5-15cm) distance with an 89-109 F(32.0-43.0C) temperature range. Unlike other IR thermometers that only measure surface temperature, FeverWatch is clinically calibrated to convert the forehead temperature reading(external surface) into internal body temperature which is one of the most important vital signs for human being, but can also be used as an ear thermometer.
The bright back-lit LCD screen displays readings even in darkness. For public health authorities, it provides a simple, quick, Non-contact, and non-invasive way to perform preliminary mass-screening for H1N1 fever (swine flu) infection symptoms (body temperatures above 98.6 degrees Fahrenheit or 37 degrees Celsius). The FeverWatch thermometer can take over 100,000 temperatures on a single set of 2 AA batteries, and is able to take over 3,000,000 measurements in the thermometer's lifetime.
