These clippers are basically just a narrow (the blade is just 1 inch wide) version of standard clippers, but they offer a few special extras, such as the five-position trimming and shaping guide. The guide lets you choose exactly the length of hair you want to keep, ranging from 5/8 to 1/8 inch long. We especially appreciated the guide's rounded tips, which make it easy to avoid gouging yourself as you're trimming. For shaping, the guard comes completely off for super-close clipping.
