   We're talking microseconds (That's quick!), to process a MIDI message from input to output port. A powerful CPU and ultra fast, custom firmware makes this possible. You've heard it called 'latency' - the delay in hearing a sound after a key is pressed. The longer the delay, the less playable the instrument.

   iConnectMIDIâ„¢ can handle data a thousand times faster than humans can notice. It has no effective latency, and that makes it very musical.

8. Lots of Ports (12 to be Exact).

   Yes, we counted correctly. Here's a secret: the big USB-A port on the front of the device will let you connect to a powered hub, the kind you buy in a computer store. With that hub, plug in up to eight (8) USB MIDI controllers. That's a lot of keyboards, control surfaces, drum pads and other controllers for you to plug into. Including the two pairs of DIN MIDI (each pair is one port) on the back and two USB-B mini jacks for computing things on the front; that's twelve ports.

   That's a monstrous rig in the making!

   With all those ports, we wanted iConnectMIDIâ„¢ to know how and where to move all that MIDI data. So, we gave it the ability to route and filter MIDI data however you want it done. Want your iPad to talk to just one keyboard or all connected instruments? No problem. Or filter out all pitch bend data going out of ports 3 and 7? Done. Have all data from three keyboard controllers go to one connected synthesizer? Easy.

   Go ahead and really get really creative with your rig.
