Kodak's EasyShare Max Z990 12MP Digital Camera (Black) is well-named: a 30x optical zoom is pretty much the "Max" for a compact consumer digital camera. But it's not only the lens that makes this camera a contender.
A 12MP CMOS sensor that has improved performance in low-light situations, a large, bright 3" LCD monitor, full 1080 HD video, and the option of shooting in the advanced RAW format are all reasons to take a closer look.
