1/72 Tiger I Late Production with Zimmerit

German Sd.Kfz.181 Ausf.E - Tiger I, Late Production, with Zimmerit, #4, 1./s.H.Pz.Abt.506, Ukaine 1944. One of Dragon's 'Value +' series - which is an attempt to make the models available at a lower price point than common to Dragon's recent regular releases. This is accomplished by having the model packed in a folded vacuum-formed support inside a box with a clear flexible plastic window in lieu of having it mounted on a black plastic base and covered by an acrlyic display case. The packaging is shown in the third picture below. The model is up to the standard of Dragon's earlier Tiger I models. Although Dragon's earlier models were diecast pieces, this model, as is the case with most of their recent production, is plastic - however, the overall detail and finishing of the model remain true to Dragon's trendsetting standards.
