LEGO Star Wars The Malevolence lets kids ages nine and up blast off to a galaxy far, far away with this model of General Grievous's flagship. This replica of the treacherous warlord's starship includes more than 1,000 LEGO pieces that faithfully capture the design and fun of Star Wars: The Clone Wars. With twin quick-fire missile launchers, opening front and rear sections, a foldaway handle on top, and six mini-figures, the Malevolence is sure to strike fear into the warring Republic.

View larger.Interior Features Opening Sections and Missile Launchers

The attention to detail on this Subjugator-class heavy cruiser would impress General Grievous himself. The front and rear sections of the ship open to reveal the interior command center and cargo bay. On each side of the ship, a missile launcher can be manually operated to fire a quick succession of six missiles. As an added convenience, a foldaway handle on top allows kids to easily carry and maneuver the ship.

The completed vessel measures 23 inches long, 7 inches wide, and 5 inches tall. For added detail, a sticker sheet is included to simulate exterior lights.

This set includes LEGO mini-figures of Anakin Skywalker, Padmé Amidala, General Grievous, Count Dooku, the Battle Droid Commander, and a Battle Droid. The figures come with a variety of accessories, including six lightsabers, two medium blasters, one blaster pistol, and a wrench and hammer.

Place the mini-figures inside the Malevolence to relive favorite scenes from The Clone Wars or outside to create all new adventures.

Assembling the Malevolence

With 1,094 pieces, the Malevolence took our testers over three hours to assemble. The two instruction booklets provide large, colorful illustrations for each step of the process, making construction relatively straightforward.

The finished vessel offers an impressive set for kids to play with. Of particular note are the twin missile launchers that fire when you turn the launcher and press the release switch. Kids will enjoy lining up the villainous Count Dooku and General Grievous in front of the missile launchers and knocking them over. The added fold-away handle on top helps kids carry around this sizeable craft and blends artfully into the vessel when not in use.
