This is the new SainSmart UNO R3 Starter Kit, developed specially for those beginners who are interested in Arduino.
You will have a complete set of Arduino"s most common and useful electronic components.
What"s more. We will offer you a detailed tutorial including project introduction and their source code.
You may learn about Arduino through using these basic projects.

SainSmart UNO R3 uses an ATMega16U2 instead of the ATMega8U2 chip. This allows for faster transfer rates and more memory.
No drivers needed for Linux or Mac (inf file for Windows is needed and included in the Arduino IDE), and the ability to have the Uno show up as a keyboard, mouse, joystick, etc.
There are 4 pins out of the Ultrasonic Module HC-SR04 Distance Sensor: VCC , Trig, Echo, GND . So it"s a very easy interface for controller to use it ranging.
The all process is : pull the Trig pin to high level for more than 10us impulse , the module start ranging ; finish ranging , If you find an object in front , Echo pin will be high level , and based on the different distance,it will take the different duration of high level.
So we can calculate the distance easily: Distance = ((Duration of high level) (Sonic :340m/s))/2.
