them is the Australian-American dark sci-fi TV series Farscape

Astronaut John Crichton thinks he’ll
make it home in time for dinner from his experimental space mission
on his ship Farscape 1, when a freak accident opens a wormhole

alien battle of the universe. From there he joins a group of escaping
prisoners who take him aboard their ship, which is a living being and
not a hunk of metal, in search of home.
