- Designed with the turner in mind. Thread your wooden blanks directly onto the chuck as opposed to using a bulky 4-jaw chuck. This method proves to be more cost effective and more efficient during the turning process. Many woodturners prefer turning their stopper blanks with this small, durable and compact design.
- This precision machined bottle stopper chuck is specifically designed to mount a bottle stopper blank to your lathe. It has a 3/8" x 16tpi threaded stud which matches most all bottle stoppers. The Bottle Stopper Chuck threads directly onto your 1” x 8 tpi lathe headstock spindle. This small compact design does not get in the way of turning compared to larger chucks.
- After the blank is drilled and with the included brad point drill bit, the blank can be easily threaded onto the chuck and is ready to be turned. As with all items that are used with power tools or machinery, please follow ALL instructions and safety precautions when working on your project.
- This size chuck and drill bit are one of the most commonly used sizes for turning bottle stopper tops. Make sure you have the right size bottle stopper threads before purchasing. Your bottle stopper should have a 3/8” x 16tpi threaded stud and the widest part of your bottle stopper should be approximately 31/32” in diameter. The finished diameter of your bottle stopper top may vary depending on your final turned size you choose.
- This package Includes; 1 each 1" x 8 tpi bottle stopper chuck and 1 each brad point drill bit and 1 each full step by step instruction sheet. Wood, C/A glue and chrome bottle stopper NOT included.
Specifically designed to mount a bottle stopper blank to your lathe without using a jaw chuck. It also has 3/8" stem to fit 3/8" bottle stoppers. The Bottle Stopper Chuck threads directly onto your lathe allowing you to easily mount your bottle stopper blank. After the blank is drilled with the included 11/32" brad point drill bit, it simply threads onto the chuck and is ready to be turned. This set includes: 1 each - 1" x 8 tpi bottle stopper chuck and 1 each 11/32" brad point drill bit for drilling the pilot hole into your blank.
