One of the rarest and most collectible cars in Shelby history, this GT500 was given to Mike Shelby by his father, Carroll, in his favorite color combination: Midnight Metallic Blue with Parchment interior. It is documented as authentic in the Shelby Registry and restored to original concours condition by one of the leading restoration experts. The beautiful finish included Wimbledon White stripes and a very rare "one-year-only" wood steering wheel and horn button. This is a matching numbers example of preserved authenticity, right down to its California Black Plate. Sold at Barrett-Jackson Scottsdale 2015 for $440,000.
