This book contains twenty traditional Celtic tunes arranged for the bowed psaltery or other C instrument such as the recorder, penny whistle, and fiddle. Some songs are in the original key with the addition of a version transposed into the key of C which is easier for the bowed psaltery. Songs include music from Ireland, Wales, Scotland, and Galicia. Several of them were composed by Turlough O'Carolan. This music was selected not only because it plays well on the bowed psaltery, but because some of these tunes are not well known and deserve to be heard more often.
