2012 Silver Oak Alexander Valley Ho Ho Ho Cabernet Sauvignon 750 mL

The dry winter was followed by well-timed rainfall in February, March and mid-April when we received about two inches that filled the soil profile before the coming season. Budbreak was even and bloom progressed quickly, leading to clusters with both high quality and high quantity potential. The summer weather was wonderfully cooperative with only a single day's high above 100Â°F from May through the end of September and no precipitation until the end of October. A small heatwave on the 1st and 2nd of October was perhaps the only blip in the otherwise mild weather pattern. We began harvest on September 24th and concluded on October 20th before an inch of rain fell in the Alexander Valley on the 23rd. The final tally showing a bountiful harvest wherein quality was immensely promising from the outset.
