- SUPPORTS WATER FEATURES AND COVERS BASINS: Use this heavy-duty, waterproof grate as a water fountain base top or to hold other pond and water garden features. When covering water basins and reservoirs, it prevents fountains or other water features from sagging. This black grate is also excellent for pondless waterfalls and other pondless water features.
- ENSURES SELF SUPPORT THROUGH STURDY CONSTRUCTION: Made in the USA from PVC, this strong platform is self supporting, requiring no additional supports for most water features. We recommend adding center support blocks for any fountain/stone that weighs over 50 pounds to allow support of an adult for servicing the display and because even a heavy duty grate can sag in time without center support. With cinder blocks beneath its center, this platform can support almost 1,000 pounds.
- OFFERS GENEROUS DIMENSIONS: Measuring about 24 inches wide and 36 inches long, this strong grate is about 2.5 inches thick. Its dimensions and strength allow it to support one pond and water garden feature or multiple features, depending on their sizes and weights.
- ALLOWS CUTTING FOR ADAPTABILITY: Although this grate is made of heavy duty, durable PVC, it can be cut with a saw to revise it as needed. For example, sawing may be done to create a pump access door in it.
- HOLDS VARIOUS WATER FEATURES: In addition to a water fountain, this grate supports decor such as rocks, vases, pottery or imitation rocks.
PREVENTS SAGGING POND AND WATER GARDEN DECOR
If you don't want a sagging or leaning water feature, then use this heavy duty grate to keep it upright and level. The sturdy, self supporting platform requires no additional supports for most water features. It is commonly used to cover water basins or reservoirs that support bubbling rocks, vases, pottery or imitation rocks. You can also use this black grate to construct a pondless waterfall or different pondless water feature.
NOTE: If the platform is used to support any item weighing over 50 pounds, then cinder blocks should be added beneath the platform's center, allowing the grate to support almost 1,000 pounds.
GREAT SIZE FOR A VARIETY OF USES
The platform is about 2 feet wide, 3 feet long and 2 1/2 inches thick. It can be cut with a saw if necessary, such as to add a pump access door.
