Made of western red cedar, naturally withstands rot and decay

Use exterior grade construction adhesive to adhere the cap to post

These post caps are made to slip over the top of a 6" x 6" fence or deck post for a decorative finishing touch or to hide irregular post ends. These post caps can be attached by either applying exterior caulk to the under-side of the post cap, or by nailing the post cap to the post with finish nails. As with any exterior product, it is recommended to apply a good quality finish to preserve the wood's natural beauty and protect the post cap.
