- WHAT’S INCLUDED: 2 Pack of 8" diameter Yellow Treated sewn sisal buffs with a 5/8" arbor hole. Hard yellow dip treated and 1/4" sewn. Best suited for cut buffing on steel, stainless steel, and other ferrous metals. Use Black Emery or Tripoli compounds with a high grease content for improved performance. NOTE: This sisal wheel is HARD. It is recommended only for aggressive cut buffing step on steel, stainless steel, and other ferrous metals only. Not recommended for Aluminum or Non-Ferrous Metals.
- TREATED SISAL: Yellow resin dip treatment enhances sisal buffs by providing them with increased stiffness and a more forceful polishing action compared to untreated buffs. This treatment is particularly recommended for buffing tasks that demand a stiffer buff and a more aggressive polishing action than what untreated buffs can deliver. Additionally, treating the buffs with resin dip also extends their overall lifespan, ensuring they can be used for a longer duration.
- APPLICATIONS: The hard-treated sisal buffs are highly efficient in eliminating or blending various surface imperfections found on drawn, stamped, and roll-formed metals. These buffs can effectively erase orange peel textures, polishing wheel grit lines, abrasive belt lines, as well as light die marks. Moreover, they are capable of addressing surface flaws resulting from machine tool marks or grinding wheel grit lines on forged parts. NOTE: This sisal wheel is very HARD and RIGID. It is recommended only for aggressive cut buffing step on steel, stainless steel, and other ferrous metals only. Not recommended for Aluminum or Non-Ferrous Metals.
- SURFACE PREP: By applying Cut and Color compound onto these wheels, they become capable of effectively removing light scratches, resulting in a virtually scratch-free surface. It's important to note that while they excel at scratch removal, they do leave behind a dull satin finish in preparation for color/mirror finish polishing if applicable. To achieve a desirable working width, it is recommended to stack together two or more of these wheels.
