The A1CNow SelfCheck monitor w/4 test strips is best suited for diabetes patients whose doctors recommend they check their A1C four times per year. This often includes those whose treatment plan has changed or who are struggling to meet glycemic goals.
Accuracy Information: The test results from a lab vs the A1CNow system were designed to be as accurate as sending a sample to a lab. However, test results will rarely match exactly, even for repeated tests performed in the same lab. A1C results may be different due to slight differences between labs, normal variation within each test method (venous vs finger-stick), time between tests, temperature, and even humidity.
A1C tests are not designed to be performed within days of another with the expectation of exact, or similar results. The percent of A1c in your blood today tells how well yo've been controlling your blood sugar levels over the past 2-3 months. About 50% of the A1C result is from the past 30 days of blood sugar levels, about 25% is from the past 30-60 days, and about 25% is from the past 60-90 days. So what you ate or changed or the time of day differences between the days tested could result in a different test result.
Notes: Please read full instructions in the insert included with the product.
You will receive 1 analyzer to use with the 4 test strips included. Once you have used the 4 strips, you will throw away the analyzer included in the package. Each kit will come with an analyzer that is specifically coded for the number of test strips included with it.
