Smoothly separate bearings and remove gears without damage with the ABN Gear Puller and Bearing Splitter 14-Piece Set - Heavy-Duty Kit - Vehicle Gear, Pulley, Steering Wheel, Ball Bearing. There are several uses for the puller arms and extensions. If you want to remove a bearing, assemble the big silver plate below it and screw the black hex-shaped arms into the silver plate. Slide the other end of the arms through the H-shaped tool, secure it with nuts and washers, and put the big black screw through the H-shape. Tighten the big screw until it touches the shaft where the bearing rides until you hear a "pop" or click and the bearing will start to slide off. The silver hooks can be used to grab the sides of a bearing or pulley when you can't reach the silver plate beneath it.
