1) The wattage of 5m LED strip is about 60W. If the strip blinks or flashes, maybe the power is not enough for the strip. So the power supply for 5m led strip must be 12V 5A 60W at least.
2) The LED strip comes without power supply and connectors.
3) Led strip is made by 50cm FPCB, so there is a solder point each 50cm on strip. In fact, most of the LED strips on the market are manufactured in half-meter lengths.
