Microphones on digital recorders are susceptible to wind noise. The Custom Windbuster for Zoom H4N from Auray is a custom fit solution for reducing wind noise and vocal "plosives" while recording with the Zoom H4N handheld recorders.
It features high-quality simulated fur on the outside, and a lint-free acoustic cloth lining on the inside for additional noise reduction. The design lowers wind velocity around the microphone and provides up to 30 to 40 dB of wind noise reduction. When used with the H4N, the windbuster can be placed over a foam windshield for even greater functionality. It also fits the Zoom H6 X/Y Mic without a foam windshield.
