3-Phase Battery Charging
Phase 1: Constant charge mode
The charge current is at maximum capacity once it is connected to a sealed lead acid battery.

Phase 2: Constant voltage mode
At 80-95% charged, the charger will automatically convert to a constant voltage mode, whilst the charge current decreases to the charge termination level.


Phase 3: Float charge mode
Once fully charged the charger can be unplugged, otherwise it will switch to a lower charging voltage, 13.6v/cell or 14.8v/cell. The battery can remain connected for as long as needed, and once you reconnect it to the battery it will automatically switch to phase 1.

The phases are clearly identified by the LED light. A red light will shine for phase 1 and 2 and green will shine for phase 3.
