Description

  • Materials & inserts: C6-grade carbide inserts coated with titanium nitride provide long life and wear resistance when machining carbon steel, alloy steel and cast iron; positive rake angles and chipbreaker geometry reduce cutting forces and aid chip control.
  • Holder lineup & sizes: Contains eight 5/8" × 5/8" indexable holders—QA10R-30B cut-off/grooving, SER0625B16 threading, SCLCR10-3B right-hand 95°, SCLCL10-3B left-hand 95°, SDNCN10-3B 62.5°, SWGCR10-3B 90°, SCDCR10-3B 45°, SCBCR10-3B 75°—plus a 5/8" × 8" S10R-SCLCR3 boring bar for internal machining down to roughly 13/16".
  • Operations & applications: Covers turning, facing, taper turning, chamfering, external and face grooving, parting, 60° threading and boring; each insert has multiple cutting edges allowing indexing to a new edge for continuous operation.
  • Machine compatibility & users: Suitable for manual or CNC engine lathes with approximately 8–14" swing; works with quick-change tool posts; designed for machinists, toolmakers and maintenance shops machining ferrous materials.
  • Set contents & extras: Delivered as a complete kit with eight holders and a boring bar preloaded with TiN-coated inserts, plus insert screws, hex keys, a fitted aluminium case and a user card with cutting parameters; replacement insert kit 2988-0058INSERTS provides spare inserts for ongoing use.
