Dangers exist on and off road for your universal joint so protect it with the AltRider Universal Joint Guard for the Yamaha Super Tenere XT1200Z. The AltRider part is larger than OEM and features an enclosed top that attaches to the nut on the inside of the sub frame mount. This is important because the OEM can easily slip inside or snag riding gear tripping you up when you attempt to move your foot our enclosed top prevents that from occurring. Additionally the OEM rubber boot that covers the universal joint is attached only by friction and could become dislodged by foreign objects. Our universal joint guard offers coverage to the boot protecting it from debris that could move it. This piece is made in America from 1/8 inch anodized aluminum and mounts using OEM hardware.
