Khaen: The most complete and very popular instrument of this area that has very long history for its development dating back to 2,000 to 3,000 years. It is made of a kind of bamboo with metal single reed of tin, silver of copper inside it and joined together with wooden mouth-piece. There are different kinds of Khaen such as Khaen jed (seven bamboo sticks) "Khaen paed (eight bamboo sticks)" Khaen gao (nine bamboo sticks) played by blowing at the mouth piece and controlling the pitch by opening or closing the holes nearby the side of the tubes with fingers.
