This is a 36-specimen plastic slide kids set with a variety of zoological and botanical samples including animal hair, insects, pollen and plant anatomy. The slides are made of plastics without sharp edges and are safe for kids. Each of the 12 slides is 60mm x 20mm, and has 3 separate specimens. The categories are color-coded for four categories: Animal, Insect, Plant Pollen, and Plant Root, Stem or Leaf. This slide set is good for educational purpose for kids, entry-level students or home school programs. Some slides (like insects ...) are designed for the observation through stereo microscopes that come with top and bottom lights. For those slides compound microscopes will not give the best microscopy images.
