Amalric Ogusson and the Fimble Queen (and other stories)
When I first started thinking of putting short stories up on the kindle store, I was struck by how much material of mine hadn’t been published over the years. I have here presented a sampling of those works that I have still preserved. Below you will find a list of the stories located inside and a brief description of each:
The Fimbul Queen – Set in the world of Ainoriin, this is a folk-tale about why wolves fear fire detailing the adventures of an angry young man and the sword Nethwrac, that burns like the forge.
The Ballad of the Graewys – A poem of the dwarves, from Ainoriin.
A Sour Victory – In a fantasy-analogue to the Roman Empire, a lone Legionnaire survives a devastating battle.
Senecus and the Mark of Death – Set in the same fantasy-Rome, this short tale follows the exploits of the mercenary Senecus and his companion, the wizard Vulkus, and their hunt for the insane mage Axcizi.
The Café – Glassbough and Tarwick awake to discover themselves in a café unlike any other.
