Ref. Throttle/ shift cable Gen I - 850716A or 897977A . Throttle/Shift cables (896143A) for MY2005 and newer 8/9.9 Four Stroke outboards. 8-9.9 4 Stroke engines generation change above S/N OR192772 and new 15/20 4 Stroke engines will use Gen I series T/S Cables
Fits all current Mercury/Mariner outboards (with integral power trim) and 1993 and newer Force outboards 40 hp and higher utilizing Mercury style cables (with power trim). When used with MY2005 and newer 8/9.9/15/20 Four Stroke outboards an adapter harness 84-892473A01 is required. Remote Control cables need Gen I style to connect to control box.
