The surface finish is Black Oxide per MIL-DTL-13924B. They are not exposed to any equipment or material known or suspected of having Mercury or Polychlorinated Biphenyls. Hoist rings are magnetic particle inspected in accordance with ASTM E 1444. Rings are neat treated to 36-48 Rc per mIL-H-6875. Meets Military Specification No. MIL-STD 209, Meets ANSI/ASME B30.26. Heavy Duty Hoist Rings are specified and used in nuclear energy equipment.
