Product Description

Amflo 512-25E 1/4" x 25' Rubber Air Hose

  • Amflo Rubber Air Hose is the best choice for rugged applications where hoses may be dragged over concrete or other rough surfaces that would damage hoses constructed from other materials
  • Durable rubber construction stays flexible even in extreme cold weather, offering year round usage opportunities indoors and out in temperatures as low as -20 degrees F
  • The superior flexiblity of rubber allows this hose to lay flat when in use, reducing the tripping hazard on job sites that hoses without the ability to lay flat can cause
  • Rubber construction offers superior resistance to kinking during use and coils easily when the job is done for quick, frustration free storage
  • Features: 1/4 inch NPT fittings, rugged PVC bend restrictors that prevent damage to hose ends, 300 PSI working/1200 PSI burst pressure, -20 to +165 temperature range

The Amflo 512-25E red rubber air hose has a 1/4" ID and is 25 ft. long. Its rubber construction provides resistance to abrasion and allows the hose to remain flexible at temperatures ranging from -20 to +165 degrees F. Its polyester yarn reinforcement provides the strength necessary to reach and maintain its maximum pressure rating of 300 pounds per square inch (psi), and it comes equipped with two 1/4" factory-installed brass male National Pipe Thread Taper (NPT) fittings. This hose is suitable for a wide range of commercial and industrial pneumatic applications.

Industrial hoses transfer or convey air or liquid in hose systems. When selecting industrial hoses, use the STAMPED method: S = Size (ID, OD, and length) T = Temperature (maximum and minimum temperatures of material being transported) A = Application (industry or process) M = Material (to be conveyed, type and concentration) P = Pressure (maximum working pressure) E = Ends (type of end connectors or couplings on hose) D = Delivery method (volume and velocity)The inside diameter of the hose must be adequate to keep pressure loss to a minimum and avoid damage to the hose due to heat generation or excessive turbulence. The hose must be capable of withstanding the minimum and maximum temperatures that occur within the hose system. Some applications require specialized oils or chemicals to be conveyed through the system. In this case, hose selection must ensure compatibility of the hose tube, cover, couplings and O-rings with the fluid used. Industrial hoses are used in systems such as air compressors, automatic manufacturing operations, aircraft controls, and tire installation in industries including agriculture, mining, road construction, firefighting, and aviation.

Plews & Edelmann manufactures automotive and pneumatic hose, lines, reels, accessories, fittings, and lubricants under the Edelmann, Amflo, Omega, LubriMatic, and UltraLube brands. The company, founded in 1909, is headquartered in Dixon, IL.
