- DR BRUCE BUGBEE: Apogee PAR sensors have been designed and refined by Dr. Bruce Bugbee, a world-famous crop physiologist.
- PREMIUM QUALITY: The SQ-520 is preferred by scientists and serious growers for accurate PAR measurements. Our sensors stay accurate and reliable while other budget PAR sensors can have readings drift by over 50%.
- FEATURES: USB-compatible smart quantum sensor connects directly to a computer (Windows or macOS X) for spot measurements, real-time PPFD graphing, and datalogging with ApogeeConnect software. It also functions as a stand-alone PAR datalogger by connecting to most standard 5V DC USB power plugs. The sensor head's internal memory stores up to 10,000 user-defined periodic measurements, downloadable as a CSV file for computer analysis.
- HIGHLY ACCURATE & STABLE: This sensor precisely measures photon intensity between 400 and 700 nm, providing a single PAR reading in µmol m-2 s-1 within 5% uncertainty. Its calibration maintains stability with an accuracy drift rate of less than 2% per year, unlike hobby-grade PAR sensors.
