This card features lab values of an arterial blood gas (ABG) as well as a venous blood gas (VBG). Both blood gases are shown in conventional units (US) and SI units (international). On the reverse is a chart to assist you in determining the patient's current acid/base state and if compensation is occurring. The chart shows all 14 of the major acid base combinations - most charts you find have just 4 since they don't factor in the compensating mechanism. This card is a must have!
