  • 【Detecting Short Circuits and Open Circuits】In the CONT mode of the continuity tester, attach the red and black clips to both ends of the wire under test. If the green indicator light illuminates, it indicates a short circuit exists or the wire is intact. If the green indicator light does not illuminate, it indicates an open circuit exists.
  • 【Locating Breaker Point】In TONE mode of the circuit breaker finder tool, connect the transmitter's black clip to the circuit's positive power source (or to the negative terminal for vehicles with positive power connected to ground), and connect the red clip to the circuit under test. The receiver will emit a rapid beep when over intact wire sections. Upon moving to the break point, the beep will significantly weaken or cease. Note that volume is affected by signal strength. If the sound is faint, adjust the probe position to enhance the signal and ensure detection accuracy.
