The B&C 5NSM38 is a high-efficiency 5-inch midrange speaker designed for direct radiation and horn-loaded applications. It delivers 220 watts of continuous program power with a 38 mm (1.5 inch) aluminum voice coil, offering a wide frequency response from 300 to 3500 Hz and an impressive 99 dB sensitivity. Engineered for midrange clarity, it boasts an extremely low distortion figure, making it ideal for precision audio setups.
The B&C 5NSM38 is a compact 5-inch midrange speaker with an 8-ohm impedance and 220 watts of continuous power handling. It delivers high efficiency with a sensitivity of 99 dB and operates across a frequency range of 300 to 3500 Hz. Featuring a 38 mm aluminum voice coil wound on a glass fibre former, it offers a 7 mm winding depth, 6 mm magnetic gap, and a flux density of 1.45 T for precise, low-distortion performance.
The B&C 5NSM38 midrange speaker features a double roll surround and radial cone for enhanced stability and sound dispersion. It uses a neodymium ring magnet with a T-pole design for efficient magnetic performance, while the single spider ensures responsive cone movement. The woofer cone is treated with WP waterproofing on the front side, making it suitable for demanding environments.
The B&C 5NSM38 midrange speaker has a compact design with a 157 mm (6.18 in) overall diameter and 108 mm (4.25 in) depth. It requires a 122 mm (4.8 in) baffle cutout and features a 142 mm (5.59 in) bolt circle. The driver occupies 1.2 dm³ (0.04 ft³) of air volume and weighs 1.37 kg (3.02 lb), shipping as a single unit in a 170×170×140 mm box with a total weight of 1.57 kg (3.46 lb).
Simplified cabinet assembly and efficient thermal transfer to the air, our NS M series of sealed back midranges feature a cast aluminum sealed chassis, high strength neodymium motor, and large internal volume for good low frequency performance. Large voice coils provide power handling, while careful selection of suspension and cone components results in exceptional sensitivity. Dedicated narrow-bandwidth midranges offer the lowest distortion at given output of any midrange available.
