Genuine Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) parts! This manufacturer-approved door gasket (part number 494772) for Kenmore Elite dishwasher model 63016303406 installs in a channel around the front opening for the wash tub. It forms a seal to prevent leaks while the machine is running.

After pulling out the existing door gasket, clean the channel and use a hair dryer or a heat gun on a low setting to smooth creases out of the new gasket.
Start installing the new door gasket by finding its center point and pushing that part of the gasket into the middle of the top of the channel around the wash tub opening. Work evenly out from the midpoint and down the sides of the gasket, pressing firmly as you go. Expect that each side of the gasket will extend past the bottom of the channel by about 1 inch. After the gasket in in place, close the dishwasher door to seat it. Open the door and adjust the gasket as needed to ensure it's securely in place. Once a good fit is achieved, close the door and leave it latched for several hours to get the gasket fully seated.
