They help hold the bit in the correct position, keeping the cheek pieces vertical and preventing the bit from tipping or catching on anything. These bit keepers fit most standard-sized English full cheek snaffle bits, though it’s best to check the dimensions (2.64" × 0.47") if you use a pony-sized or extra-wide bit to ensure the perfect fit.
  • They are generally suitable for average and full-size horse bridles, but may feel tighter on larger bits or fit perfectly on smaller or pony tack depending on the cheek bar thickness. Attaching them is simple - each keeper has two loops: one attaches around the cheekpiece of the bridle, and the other connects to the top of the full cheek bit, ensuring the bit stays properly aligned and balanced in the horse’s mouth.
  • Made from smooth-edged leather, these bit keepers are safe for the horse’s skin and mouth, preventing rubbing or irritation. While leather naturally softens slightly with use, it won’t overstretch - if they feel snug at first, warming the leather in your hands or applying a bit of conditioner helps achieve a perfect fit.
