- What is Neuromuscular electrical stimulation NMES and what is it not: (NMES) uses electrical impulses to stimulate weak or paralyzed muscles. It can help with: muscle strength, range of motion, blood circulation, muscle spasms, motor function, functional recovery, disuse atrophy, and motor control. NMES will not build healthy muscle mass as a replacement for exercise
- NMES will not cause visible muscle contraction and is not a cosmetic device.
- Pulse amplitude: adjustable, 0-80 ma peak into 500 ohm load.
