This second volume of the musical biography of Roland de Lassus is dedicated to the glory years of his career in Munich as choirmaster of Duke Albrecht V. The works collected here sometimes reflect the function of Kapellmeister (masses and Magnificat, the event celebration), sometimes the free fancy of the composer soon everywhere celebrated as the new Orpheus.
