Born To Be

Melanie was born Melanie Safka in 1947 in Queens, New York. She is a folk pop singer/songwriter. She made her first public singing appearance at age 4 on the radio show Live Like A Millionaire. The song she performed was "Gimme A Little Kiss". "Born To Be" was Melanie's debut album released in 1968 on Buddah Records. She then performed at Woodstock in 1969. This lead to the album being reissued & repackaged as "My First Album" in 1969 after the famous festival. Our CD reissue features the original Buddah album artwork.
