The Boyds Pro Varmint Gunstock is without a doubt the best choice for replacing the standard plastic factory stock on Savage 10 Center Feed Short Action Rifles with Top Bolt Release and Blind Box Magazines. Designed to accommodate both standard and bull barrels, the Pro Varmint's hand-sanded laminated hardwood stock's smooth black laboratory textured finish and quality workmanship give it a clean, top quality look.

An affordable tactical-like stock, the Pro Varmint's extended beavertail forend provides increased stability when shooting off sandbags, but is still trim enough to provide the maneuverability needed to enjoy plinking and general recreational shooting. The stock's Monte Carlo comb raises the cheek for better eye-to-optics alignment when shooting a Savage 10 equipped with a scope. The gunstock's ambidextrous grip accommodates both right- and left-handed shooters, and the subtle palm swell on both sides provides a secure, more comfortable hold with either hand. The Pro Varmint stock gives the shooter both greater control of the firearm with the non-trigger hand and a more solid hold on the rear sandbag when shooting from a bench.

Having an overall length of 31 1/2 inches and weighing 2.85 pounds, the Pro Varmint gunstock has a 13 Â¾-inch length of pull and a center-to-center action screw measurement of 4 7/16 inches. The stock has an elongated forend that allows it to be used with barrels ranging from 18 to 24 inch barrels, including heavier Bull Barrels. All Pro Varmint gunstocks come with both front and rear swivel studs for simple and quick bipod attachment and removal. A Â½-inch non-slip, leather-like rubber recoil pad is also included.
