In hot or high-UV climates, dashboard surfaces can exceed suction ratings and cause lifting—mounting directly to the windshield provides the most secure, heat-resistant installation. If grip weakens, clean the suction cup with mild dish soap and warm water, rinse, air dry, and reuse like new.
