The clamp's band is made from stainless steel to provide resistance to scaling and corrosion, and a plated carbon steel screw resists rust. The 5/8" band width provides for a greater sealing area than a standard-sized band, and the clamp's smooth inner liner covers band serrations to help prevent hose damage.
