Buddy Rich: Up Close

In 1982, Buddy Rich filmed three shows over three days at the Statler Hotel in New York. They were never aired--in fact, never edited. This DVD, Buddy Rich Up Close, is a special edit of The Buddy Rich Show. It spotlights six songs: Love For Sale, Bugle Call Rag, West Side Story, Birdland, Greensleeves, and Dancing Men--with as many cameras as possible focusing on Buddy and his incredible drumming technique. Included are the show's main edit plus three different versions of audio (drums hot and band hot) as well as a slow motion version. Running time is 116 mins.
