Bussmann (RB-BI-130A) 130 Amp Battery Isolator
- Prevents auxiliary batteries from draining main battery power
- Solid State technology isolates each battery circuit to extend battery life
- Allows each battery to charge and discharge according to need
- Easily connects alternator to one main and one auxiliary battery
- Includes wiring and hardware for basic installation
A battery isolator can eliminate the problem of battery drain by acting as a check valve between the batteries to prevent current flowing from a fully charged battery to a partially charged battery. A battery isolator enables each battery to act as an independent power source so that the main battery can conserve power even if the auxiliary battery is fully discharged. When charging, the isolator gives priority to the main battery so that there is always a full charge to start the engine.
