Description
- The bipolar membrane is an ion exchange membrane with a positively charged group on one side and a negatively charged group on the other side
- The bipolar membrane can be divided into three layers in terms of spatial structure: 1. Negative layer (with immobilized positive charge group, equivalent to anion exchange membrane); 2. Catalytic layer (catalyzed hydrolysis dissociation reaction) and 3. Positive layer (with immobilized negatively charged groups, equivalent to cation exchange membrane)
