This ceramic ring magnet is made of grade 8 hard ferrite magnetic material. Ceramic magnets are the most economical type of magnet available and are the most widely used. It is not the strongest magnet type but still provides sufficient holding power for most applications. The holding power of this magnet is about 3.6 lbs.
