This CPAP cushion is meant only for use with the ComfortGel Blue Nasal CPAP Mask from Phillips Respironics. The new, gel technology this cushion utilizes allows the cushion to gently conform to both your nose and facial profile. This allows for a much better fit, which in turn improves overall comfort. The silicone flap included with this Respironics CPAP cushion improves the quality of the seal, preventing air from leaking into and irritating the eyes. In order to make cleaning the cushion easier, the flap is removable. You should replace your CPAP cushion every 6 months or so to maintain an effective CPAP treatment.
