Compared to GPS-only USB GPS solutions, the GPS+GLONASS combination allows connection up to 34 satellites simultaneously. While calculating device position requires at least three satellite signals, devices that use both GPS and GLONASS satellites almost double the number of usable satellites. Therefore, positioning is more accurate, especially in dense "urban canyon" environments.
