Cape Cod 1899 - Strong Right Arm of Massachusetts Myron Clark CC-all
Description
A "fun" map of the Cape printed in 1899, depicting the Cape as a human arm ending with a clenched fist at Provincetown. We found the original at the Library of Congress, with no bibliographical information. But the stated author, C.Myron Clark (see lower right ), is probably the artist of the same name who lived in Massachusetts. Clark produced numerous watercolors, mostly of New England scenes. And we suspect he lived in Orleans for a time - see "the Right Spot" on his map! Our prints are made from an edited digital photograph and the 24"x27" size will not be quite as sharp as the 16"x20".
