Carcassonne is the newly released edition (December, 2014). Entirely re-designed and modernized. Includes: The River Expansion and the Abbot Expansion. A game for 2 to 5 players. Works great with just 2 players. Each player has 8 followers (wooden meeples of a specific color). Followers may become a thief, a knight, a monk or a farmer. On their turn players may lay one tile from their hand and optionally add a wooden meeple to score points. The amount of road, field, or land group determines points scored on a given turn.

Option to add 9 or more game expansions. Expansions sold additionally elsewhere on Amazon.
