The Carlisle 4037000 Sparta Pastry Basting Brush is the the perfect choice for high fluid retention and fine pastry washes. The brush is durable and water resistant for basting meats and poultry. Its 2" premium boar bristles are double-boiled, bleached, and sterilized. This brush can withstand temperatures up to 500Â°F. One more point about the bristles; they are epoxy-set in ferrules to provide superior bristle retention and to prevent bacteria harboring in air pockets. The high quality lacquered hardwood handle with brown nylon ferrules is the choice of top chefs.
